PALÁCIO DA PENA - SINTRA, PORTUGAL

Há uns anos que aqui não vinha, desta vez vim equipada com uma boa máquina fotográfica para capturar a fabulosa arquitectura deste Palácio único em Portugal. Na realidade fui também fazer um pouco de guia turística já que levei uma colega da minha empresa que veio do Brasil para trabalhar um mês cá. Como adoro estes passeios ofereci-me logo para lhe mostrar um pouco de Sintra que ela disse logo ter na sua lista como ponto a visitar.

It's been years I did not come here but this time came equipped with a good camera to capture the architecture of this fabulous palace unique in Portugal. Actually I also was a bit of tour guide since I took a colleague from my company who came from Brazil to work a month here. Because I love these tours I offered to show her a little of Sintra which she said right way that it was on her list as a go see.

Hoje conhecemos…a estância de neve da Sierra Nevada.

Fomos exactamente antes da semana da Páscoa, não podíamos ter feito melhor escolha de época. Boa neve, boas condições para o ski ou snowboard, bom tempo com alguns dias um pouco mais tremidos, mas sempre com posibilidades de esquiar. Creio que o pior dia foi o primeiro em que se montou um nevoeiro que só andei numa pista verde e mesmo assim não via um palmo, de resto sempre em grande.

 

Today we have discovered ... the snow station of Sierra Nevada.
We went just before the Easter weekend, we could not have made ​​a better choice. Good snow, good conditions for skiing or snowboarding, good weather with some days a bit shaky, but always with possibilities of skiing. I think the worst day was the first there was an intense fog and I only went to the green track and still I couldn't see anything, otherwise it was always great.

Quando entrei neste jardim pela primeira vez pensei que tinha estava a viver a história daquele filme de "O Jardim Secreto". Passei tantas vezes á sua porta sem nunca realmente perceber a sua dimensão e encanto.

Foi um amigo nosso que nos recomendou, agora que temos um filho estamos sempre há procura de espaços verdes onde passear com ele, brincar á vontade, etc.. Disse-nos que tínhamos que entrar por uma pequena porta de um posto de informações, quando o fizémos estávamos ainda cépticos sobre o que íamos encontrar. E eis que uma segunda porta nos leva ao imenso jardim que está junto ao Palácio do Marquês de Pombal e da Câmara Municipal de Oeiras.

When I first walked in this garden I thought I was living the story of the movie "The Secret Garden". I spent many times at it's door without ever really noticing it's size and charm.
It was a friend who recommended us, now we have a son we are always looking for green spaces to take him for a walk, playing at will, etc. .. He told us that we had to enter through a small door of an information desk and we were still skeptical about what we would find. And behold, a door leads to another and then the huge garden which is next to the Palace of the Marquis of Pombal and the Oeiras City Council.

QUINTA DA REGALEIRA - SINTRA, PORTUGAL

Hoje conhecemos...a Quinta da Regaleira. Fui com uma colega brasileira e este era um local que estava na sua lista de visitas a fazer. Ela conhece pouco de Portugal e a Quinta da Regaleira tem um dos jardins mais bonitos e misteriosos que já vi. Decidimos fazer a visita guiada que recomendo porque acabamos por entender muito sobre a história da construção da Quinta e todas as mudanças que lhe fizeram.

Today we have discovered ... Quinta da Regaleira. I went with a Brazilian colleague and this was a place that was on her list of visits to do. She knows little of Portugal and the Quinta da Regaleira is one of the most beautiful and mysterious gardens I've ever seen. We decided to do the tour that I recommend just to understand a bit more about the history of the construction of the Quinta and all the changes that were made.

Hoje visitámos o Museu Reina Sofia em Madrid.

Localizado numa praça perto da Atocha, este museu contém alguma das obras mais importantes de artistas espanhóis muito conhecidos como Picasso, Dalí e Miró.

O preço para entrar são 6€ mas aos Domingos por exemplo é gratuito tendo um horário mais reduzido fechando ás 19h. Faz parte de um conhecido triângulo de museus que inclui o Prado e o Thyssen, todos junto ao Paseo del Prado.

Um elevador leva-nos até ao piso onde estão várias salas com a sua vasta colecção de quadros, dele conseguimos ver a fachada da estação da Atocha.

 

Today we visited the Museo Reina Sofia in Madrid.
Located in a plaza near the Atocha, this museum contains some of the most important works of Spanish famous painters as Picasso, Dalí and Miró.
The admission fee is 6€  and on Sundays it's free for example having a shorter time until 19h. It is part of a famous museum triangle that includes Prado and the Thyssen, all of them near the Paseo del Prado.
An elevator takes us to the floor where several rooms have a vast collection of paintings, from it we could see the front of the Atocha station.

Hoje conhecemos...Óbidos a Vila Natal.

Já tínhamos estado o ano anterior mas creio que este ainda foi melhor, organizaram-se melhor e conseguiram que o encanto fosse completo. Acho a iniciativa excelente principalmente para ajudar a celebrar o espírito natalicio em familia, porque está tudo montado para que todos venham, pais, filhos, avós, etc..

Antes de entrarmos nas muralhas que cercam Óbidos, temos a exposição de árvores de Natal feitas pelas várias empresas da vila.

ALMEIDA - PORTUGAL

Hoje conhecemos...Almeida, uma das doze aldeias históricas de Portugal. Fica no distrito da Guarda e um dos seus principais pontos de interesse são as muralhas em forma de estrela, ainda que passeando pela aldeia é dificil de ter completa percepção da sua forma total, mas o mapa assegura-nos que sim.

Today we have discovered ... Almeida, one of the twelve historical villages of Portugal. Located in the district of Guarda and one of its main attractions are the star-shaped walls around it, although strolling through the village is difficult to have complete perception of their total shape there is the map assures us that it is that way.
