Hoje conhecemos a...Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família!

A fantástica obra arquitectónica criada por Antonio Gaudi e que ainda hoje continua em construção segundo a sua maquete original (segundo é maneira de dizer, tal é a controvérsia á volta da sua construção).

Há uns anos quando visitei Barcelona a trabalho, tinha visto a Sagrada Família mas de noite, confesso que além do espanto de a ver ao vivo fiquei sempre com uma imagem de um edificio um tanto ao quanto assustador. Agora fui mesmo visitar o templo, é dificil conter o entusiasmo. E se de fora logo percebemos que é um monumento único, quando entrei tive que agarrar bem as lágrimas aos olhos...é emocionante. 

A entrada faz-se pela fachada da Paixão.

Today we know the Basilica i ... Expiatori Temple de la Sagrada Familia!
The outstanding architectural work created by Antonio Gaudi and that still today continues under construction according to his original model (according is a way to say it, there is much controversy surrounding the construction will).
Years ago when I visited Barcelona for work, had seen the Holy Family but at night, I confess that beyond the astonishment of seeing live was always a picture of a building a somewhat scary. Now we went to visit the temple, it is difficult to contain the excitement. And if from outside you soon realize that it is a unique monument, when I got in I had to grab the tears from my eyes ... it's exciting.
The entrance is through the facade of the Passion.

Tivémos a sorte de visitar o seu interior depois de ter sido completado pela data da visita do Papa Bento XVI á cidade. Apesar de achar o projecto de Gaudí uma obra extraordinária, parece que com a construção nova versus a antiga torna tudo menos harmonioso mas o interior, para mim já é outra conversa, parece que caímos num buraco e entrámos no País das Maravilhas ou num bosque encantado. 

 

We were lucky to visit it's interior after being completed in time for the visit to Barcelona of the Pope Benedict XVI. Although I do think Gaudí's project an extraordinary work, it looks like the new construction versus the old makes everything less harmonious but the interior, is a different thing, looks like you fell into a hole and entered the Wonderland or some enchanted woods.

eat: TXAPELA - BARCELONA, ESPANHA

Este restaurante de cozinha basca, práticamente á base de tapas e pintxos, está localizado no Passeig de Grácia muito próximo da Plaza de Catalunya. Existem nesta rua dois, nós fomos ao do número 8 mas há outro mais acima do mesmo lado.

Do mesmo grupo e todos com presença na mesma avenida de Barcelona, têm também o Tapa Tapa e o QuQu.

 

This is a basque restaurant that basically serves "tapas" and "pintxos". It's located in Passeig de Grácia very close to the Plaza de Catalanya. There are two in this street, we went to the one in the number 8.

From the same group and all in this avenue, they have the Tapa Tapa and QuQu.

Ainda nos restava tempo no nosso ticket do bus turistico, decidimos utilizá-lo antes de jantar a passear por Barcelona mas há noite. Percorremos a outra linha, a azul que apanhámos no Paseig de Grácia.

Esta época de Dezembro também é interessante para visitar Barcelona, a cidade enche-se de luz por causa da "Navidad" e se já tinha encanto, só o vem reforçar.

 

Still time left in our tour bus ticket, we decided to use it before dinner strolling around Barcelona but overnight. We went through the other line, the blue that we caught in Paseig of Gracia.
This December season is also interesting to visit Barcelona, the city is filled with lights because of "Navidad" (Christmas) and if it already had charm, this only reinforces it.

do: BUS TURISTICO DE BARCELONA - ESPANHA

Hoje conhecemos Barcelona através do Bus Turistico - Parte 1. (Post Longo)
Escrevo "Parte 1" porque aproveitámos o bilhete diário para andar nas duas linhas que tinham: a vermelha e a azul. A primeira de dia e a segunda de noite que coloco noutro post.
Eu sou fã dos bus turisticos quando não conhecemos a cidade e temos pouco tempo para a ver. Esta opção não é barata (22€ o bilhete) mas a vertente "hop & off" exactamente num ponto turistico acaba sempre por ser mais cómodo. Além disso temos um audio-guia que nos ajuda a entender um pouco da história da cidade.

 

Today we've discovered Barcelona through the Tourist Bus - Part 1. (Long Post)
I write "Part 1" because we took advantage of the daily ticket for riding on the two lines they had: red and blue. The first during the day and the second at night that I'll put in another post.
I'm a fan of bus tours when we do not know the city and we have little time to see it. This option is not cheap (22 € ticket) but the option "hop & off"  exactly at a tourist point always ends up being more convenient. In addition we have an audio guide that helps us understand some of the history of the city.

Hoje conhecemos...a Fuencarral. Ok, este inicio de post é tonto...esta deve ser a 20ª vez que andamos pela Fuencarral, mas a primeira em que me digno a tirar fotos de algumas lojas que gosto e pôr um post aqui.

 

Today we have discovered...Fuencarral. Ok, so this is quite silly...we have walk through this street 20 times mas it is the first that I took some photos of the stores I like and put it in this post.

TXACOLÍ - MADRID, ESPANHA

Hoje conhecemos...o Txakoli, um bar de pinchos ou pintxos bascos (ou vascos) na Cava Baja em Madrid. Quem conhece a cidade sabe que o bairro de La Latina é dos melhores para sair á noite ou para simplesmente comer num dos seus muitos bares e restaurantes de tapas e pinchos. Andando por uma das suas mais conhecidas ruas, a Cava Baja, temos uma oferta tão grande que a vontade é tapear um pouco em cada um.
