Quem vem visita Madrid desde Portugal e de carro, entrará por esta praça para depois virar á direita e entrar na Gran Via. Este era pelo menos o caminho que fazia.
É um dos muitos cartões de visita da cidade e a verdade é que está muito central. Tem junto a si a Gran Via, a igualmente agitada Calle Princesa, a Calle Bailén cujo percurso nos leva ao Palácio Real.
Nesta praça há quase sempre umas tendas montadas com feiras de artesanato, seja de vendedores locais ou de outros países, muitos da América do Sul.
Who comes to visit Madrid from Portugal by car, enters this square and then turns right to get to the Gran Via. This was the route we used to make.
It is one of many city's visit cards and the truth is that it's quite central. Close to it there's the Gran Via, the equally bustling Calle Princesa, the Calle Bailen whose route takes us to the Royal Palace.
In this square there is almost always some tents with craft fairs, either from local vendors or other countries, many from South America.
