eat: PIPA & CO - MADRID, ESPANHA

Procurava um restaurante que tivesse brunch para ir com uns amigos que estavam por Madrid, há algum tempo que o Pipa & Co (considerado um dos melhores de 2013) estava na lista pelas boas criticas que tinha pela boa comida, bom ambiente e com preços razoáveis. Uma premissa que cumpriram com alguns percalços pelo caminho (problemas com os horários do brunch vs. almoço, etc..), acabámos por almoçar porque chegámos um pouco tarde ao brunch mas a comida estava óptima que é o que importa.

I was looking for a restaurant that had brunch to go with some friends who were in Madrid, for some time that the Pipa & Co (considered one of the best of 2013) was on the list by the good reviews it had for good food, good atmosphere and reasonably prices. A premise that was fulfilled but with some mishaps along the way (problems with the hours of brunch vs. lunch, etc. ..), we finally have lunch because we arrived a bit late to the brunch but the food was great that's what matters.

eat: BRISTOL BAR - MADRID, ESPANHA

Não sou uma grande entendida do mundo Gin, é uma bebida que não costumo beber mas há que reconhecer que nos últimos anos e principalmente desde que vivo em Madrid oiço falar muito sobre ela e despertou a minha atenção. Quando pedi a uma amigo espanhol recomendações para um bar onde beber Gin pela visita de uns amigos que gostam muito desta bebida ele não hesitou em recomendar-me o Bristolbar na zona das Salesas. 

I'm not a big expert of the Gin world, it's a drink that I do not usually drink but it is clear that in recent years, and especially since I live in Madrid I hear so much about it and caught my attention. When I asked a Spanish friend recommendations for a bar to drink gin because of a visit of some friends who are very fond of this drink and he did not hesitate in recommending me Bristolbar in the Salesas area.

eat: BUNS - MADRID, ESPANHA

Tinha lido algures que aqui se serviam um dos melhores hamburguers de Madrid, reservei mesa para ir ao Buns numa sexta-feira á noite e fiquei surpreendida por ver que não estava assim tão cheio. Fica no bairro de Salamanca e a sua decoração está dentro da linha de um "diner" vintage americano. 

A carta na parte de hamburguers não era muito extensa mas ficou comprovada a sua qualidade com uma carne galega muito boa, ficaram por provar os cachorros quentes que dizem ser bons.

I had read somewhere that they served here one of the best burgers in Madrid, booked a table to go to Buns on a Friday night and I was surprised to see that it was not so full. Is in the Salamanca neighborhood and its decor is within a vintage "diner" American line. 

The menu it terms of hamburgers was not very extensive but it has proved its quality with a very good meat from Galicia, next time we need to taste the hot dogs that some say are good.

eat: EL CHURRASCO - MASPALOMAS, ESPANHA

Chegar ao El Churrasco foi um complicado, na realidade foi obra do acaso porque tínhamos ido primeiro ao Yumbo para tentar encontrar um perfume e aproveitar por comer por lá mas por mais restaurantes que tivesse nenhum nos chamou a atenção. Decidimos depois ir até ao Farol de Maspalomas onde tinha aberto um restaurante mas era esplanada e como não estava muito agradável fecharam a cozinha. Acabámos por chegar até ao El Churrasco muito tarde e já famintos.

Getting to El Churrasco was a complicated story, in reality it was a fluke because we had gone first to Yumbo to try to find a perfume andeat there but it had many restaurants but none called our attention. We then decided go to the Maspalomas lighthouse where a new restaurant opened abut it was a terrace and since it was not very nice outside the kitchen was closed. We finally reached the El Churrasco at a late hour and very hungry.

eat: MI MAR AEROPUERTO - LAS PALMAS, ESPANHA

Tenho que confessar que se não me tivessem recomendado este restaurante pelo o seu aspecto exterior e pela sua localização nunca entraria. Fica numa zona de armazéns muito próxima do aeroporto de Las Palmas na Gran Canária, é muito frequentado por quem vive na zona e está fora das áreas mais turísticas mas depois de ter provado a comida aqui voltaria quer a minha viagem seja a trabalho ou a lazer. 

I must confess that if they had not recommended this restaurant by its exterior appearance and its location would never enter. Is a very close to Las Palmas airport in Gran Canaria warehouse area is frequented by those who live in the area and is outside the more touristy but after tasting the food here back areas want my travel is for business or pleasure .

eat: CONFRADIA DE PESCADORES LA TIÑOSA - LANZAROTE, ESPANHA

Procurávamos em Puerto del Carmen um restaurante para almoçar, por todo lado víamos sitios preparados para cobrir todas as necessidades turisticas com comida mexicana, pizzas, hamburguers, wok , etc.. Buscávamos algo mais autêntico, comida da ilha nem que fosse numa tasca fora do mapa turistico. Falando com um taxista recomendou-nos ir ao porto e deu-nos dois nomes: Lonja e a Confradia de Pescadores. Escolhemos o último e não nos arrependemos. 

We looked in Puerto del Carmen a restaurant for lunch, we saw sites everywhere prepared to cover all the tourist needs with Mexican food, pizza, burgers, wok etc. .. We were looking for something more authentic food from the island even if it was in a tavern off the tourist map. Talking to a taxi driver he advised us to go to the port and gave us two names: Lonja and Confradia Fishermen. We chose the latter and did not regret it.

do: PUERTO DEL CARMEN - LAZAROTE, ESPANHA

Fui a uma reunião na ilha de Lanzarote, durante o voo podia ver as familias que iam de férias e eu equipada para trabalhar. Ainda assim consegui aproveitar alguns minutos para ver a zona do Puerto del Carmen, um dos núcleos turisticos mais importantes, pelas suas praias, pela sua oferta de hoteis, restaurantes e animação. 

I went to a meeting on the island of Lanzarote during the flight I could see the families who went on holiday and I was equipped to go to work. I still managed to enjoy a few minutes to see the area of Puerto del Carmen, one of the most important tourist centers, for its beaches, for its offer of hotels, restaurants and entertainment.
