My coworkers always told me: "No somos muy de dulces" (We don't like so much sweet food) but the crowd that gathered in a Saturday afternoon in Mamá Framboise, I would say that the sweets are in fashion. A "boulangerie" in the proper French style serves everything from macarons to filled croissants on to high-pastry cakes.
And how we missed a place like that in Madrid, where we could have an afternoon snack as we did in Portugal, here we changed the scones by the brioches but never mind.

Lucked out and got right away a table, they have a scheme to share tables so we were in a large one and also three different couples from different countries: Portuguese, Spanish and Italian.
I ordered a tea, my husband a cappuccino who was great looking. To eat I ordered a carrot cake that had a very high pastry look to it and a matching flavor. The husband ordered two: one brioche and croissant stuffed with raspberry. I tried everything and was great, especially the brioche that tasted like "roscón" or king's cake (bolo rei).

The price was 9€ because the carrot cake cost 4€, brioche and croissant were not too expensive for the place that is, the first was € 1.15 (if I remember correctly) and the other I can not remember the price but did not go very far that. Honestly, is more expensive to snack at Starbucks and is no better.
