eat: MURILLO CAFÉ - MADRID, ESPANHA

Um colega de trabalho recomendou-me este restaurante em Madrid e depois de ler sobre ele neste blog: MadridCoolBlog, decidimos ir experimentar este fim de semana. Fica muito bem localizado, está junto á Plaza Murillo entre o Museu do Prado e o Real Jardim Botânico.

Por todo o lado se pode ler que foi fundado em 1927 e está dedicado ao famoso pintor espanhol (do século XVII) com o mesmo nome.

 

A coworker recommended me this restaurant in Madrid and after reading about it in this blog: MadridCoolBlog, we decided to try it this weekend. It is very well located, it's close to the Plaza Murillo between the Prado Museum and the Royal Botanic Gardens.

Everywhere one can read that was founded in 1927 and is dedicated to the famous Spanish painter (seventeenth century) with the same name.

O passeio ao Parque de Berlim foi feito já no final da manhã e pedia um almoço na zona. No mesmo post do blog Madrid Y Yo onde sugeria o parque sugeria também o Le Petit Bistrot que ficava ali perto. Também já tinha algo sobre o restaurante numa revista que sugeria o brunch neste restaurante mas segundo o que vi no próprio site do Bistrot, só o do Bairro das Letras é que tem.

 

Our walk in the Berlin Park was almost at lunch hour so we had to eat in the area. In the same blog Madrid Y Yo there was a suggestion to eat at the Le Petit Bistrot that was close by. I remembered this restaurant's name from a magazine that suggested a Sunday brunch but after checking on their website I realised it was only on the one in the Barrio de las Letras.

eat: CAFÉ MONTPARNASSE - PARIS, FRANÇA

Fica na Praça 18 de Junho de 1940, muito próximo do hotel onde ficámos (Best Western Aramis) e foi o espaço perfeito para comermos sem grandes deslocações depois de um compensador, mas estafante dia, a passear pela cidade.

Na realidade até procurávamos um local onde comer algo mais simples, uma salada ou do género porque com tantos dias de "road trip" a comer muitas vezes pelo caminho ou a experimentar todo o tipo de delicias culinárias, queríamos algo mais "light". 

 

Located in the Square 18th of June 1940, very close to the hotel where we stayed (Best Western Aramis) and was the perfect place to eat without walking to much after a rewarding but exhausting day of sightseeing.
And also we were looking for a café to eat something simple, a salad or something because with so many days of "road trip" often eating along the way or trying all sorts of culinary delights, we wanted something more light.
