É talvez a segunda praça mais interessante de Segóvia e digo isto porque Plaza de San Martin leva este prémio. Por outro lado, a Plaza Mayor é das mais agitadas da cidade com a Catedral como protagonista mas com outros edificios importantes como o do Ayuntamiento ou o do Teatro Juan Bravo construído em 1917.

No Verão as esplanadas dos restaurantes que estão debaixo das arcadas, animam a praça. O Teatro Juan Bravo e o pequeno coreto que vemos no centro da praça reforçam a oferta cultural e fazem desta praça um ponto de encontro para a vida social dos segovianos.
Para além da Catedral de estilo gótico que podemos ver numa das suas laterais está também a Igreja de San Miguel do mesmo estilo arquitectónico mas com elementos de transição românicos. Dizem que foi junto a ela que se celebrou a proclamação de Isabel a Católica como Rainha de Castela.
