Tinha muita curiosidade de conhecer este Palácio cujo o nome significa o Favorito. Foi construido no século XIX em várias fases e por dois importantes vizirs, o primeiro Si Moussa que foi conselheiro do Sultão Sidi Mohammed ben Abder e depois pelo o seu filho Ba Ahmed.
Era utilizado para sua residência e estava dividido em vários apartamentos que na sua altura diziam ser bastante luxuosos e onde se alojavam as suas mulheres.
I was very curious to discover this palace whose name means the Favourite. It was built in the nineteenth century in various stages and by two importantes vizirs, the first Si Moussa who advised the Sultan Sidi Mohammed ben Abder and then by his son Ahmed Ba.
Was used as their residence and was divided into several apartments on it's day they said to be quite luxurious and where they lodged their wives.

Foi construido seguindo a arquitectura típica de Marrocos em que cada apartamento tinha um pátio onde se destaca o trabalho de azulejo "zellij" que podemos ver a decorar cada um deles. Em todos haviam fontes e por aqui passeavam as mulheres de cada um de estes vizirs. Um deles tinha árvores como cipestres e laranjeiras, outro era maior em tamanho apenas com os azulejos e uma fonte a decorá-lo.
Também gostei dos tectos trabalhados em madeira assim como as portas, tudo com bastante detalhe ajudando a entender a importância e o poder dos homens que o mandaram construir. Só tive pena de que não recriassem em alguma de estas divisões como seria nessa altura a decoração acho que ajudaria a animar a visita.
It was built following the typical Moroccan architecture in which each apartment had a patio where I would highlight the "zellij" tile work we can see decorating in each one. In all you can see small fountains and around here the women of the vizirs would pass by. One of them had trees like cypress and orange, another was bigger in size only with tiles and a fountain decorating it.
Also liked the wooden coffered ceilings as well as the doors, all with great detail to help you understand the importance and power of the men who had built it. Just felt sorry that they did not recreate in any of these divisions what would the decor be like then I think would help enliven the visit.
