This was the place that my husband chose to take me to dinner on my birthday, I'm not a big fan of restaurants that are too formal but the truth is that the Pan de Lujo (despite the name) is not as pretentious as others you see around. They have a careful decor and there is attention to detail but it still manages to be relaxed.
We went on a Sunday and booked table before, I think if you go early it would not be necesary but then it was gradually filling. Doing justice to its name the first thing they bring to the table is bread that you choose from a large basket that brings enough variety, I tasted the olive oil, the tomato and the traditional wood bread, all excellent especially with olive oil with basil cut in hour.

To start we ordered a burrata which was fine, maybe missed something more to enhance the flavor. Then came, also to share, braised octopus made with egg and baked potatoes with canary (from the Canary islands) sauce. It was so good we almost wanted to complain that the portion was meager.
The main dishes were the truffled meatballs with potato tempura and chicken tikka masala sauce, both excellent with a very good quality of ingredients and quite tasty.
We saved room for dessert, my husband ordered the cookie that was not a success because it was very dry but I hit the mark my with chocolat "buñuelos" with brandy and coconut sauce, one of my favorite ever.
Great atmosphere, decor and food at prices between € 35-50 per person.
