O museu em forma de taça expõe mais de cento e vinte carros e motas produzidos pela BMW, alguns protótipos, entre outras curiosidades.
Very near the Olympiapark is the headquarters of BMW designed by Karl Schwarzer who was inspired by a four-cylinder engine to create it. Built in the late sixties it was inaugurated along with its museum a year after the Munich Olympics of 1972.
The cup-shaped museum exhibits more than one hundred and twenty cars and motorcycles produced by BMW, some prototypes, among other curiosities.

Este foi um dos museus que o meu marido pediu específicamente para ver (e com bastante lógica dada á sua paixão por carros) e posso dizer que eu também gostei muito especialmente pela viagem na história da marca através dos seus motores, carros e motos. A sua produção fechou após a Segunda Guerra Mundial mas na década de cinquenta voltaram a produzir tornando-se numa das maiores empresas de automóveis de luxo da Europa.
Ao longo da visita circular acompanhamos a sua história, a evolução dos seus modelos com maior êxito como por exemplo o Série 3, os motores, carros de competição e muitos clássicos, alguns dos nossos favoritos foram: o Isetta, o 328 Mille Miglia e o 507.
Em exposição estavam alguns modelos da Rolls Royce, a emblemática marca de carros de luxo inglesa que foi comprada pela BMW em 1998.
This was one of the museums that my husband asked specifically to see (and quite logical given his passion for cars) and I can say that I also really enjoyed the visit especially in the history of the brand through its engines, cars and motorcycles. The production closed after World War II but in the fifties they got back to production becoming one of the largest luxury car in Europe.
Along the circular tour you can see their business history, the evolution of its most successful models such as the 3 Series, engines, racing cars and many classics, some of our favorites were: the Isetta, the 328 Mille Miglia and 507.
