This restaurant was recommended to us for a dinner with friends and had all the ingredients to be a good experience first because it is in the gardens of Casa de America that is installed at the Palacio de Linares whose facade we can see from Cibelles and secondly because the Chef Juanjo López Bedmar , well known in Madrid because of the La Tasquita Face is in charge of the menu. We enjoyed the food but the service was not at it's best level, a shame.

We felt that it's menu was very chort and it was hard to choose perhaps the lack of more appealing options, yet we chose to start a Burrata which was regular and that in other restaurants we had better. We also ordered the "croquetas" served to fullfil our hunger and little else. Our expectation was quite high up because we waited over an hour to start eating.
Then came the main dishes, I ordered a simple pasta with cheese and dried tomatoes, had to ask for some salt because it lacked some more flavour and it is true that it improved but the price of the dish does not justify it. The star of the night was the pork Carrilera it was tasty and tender. The steak tartar is also recommended but in the end we got the feeling that it is a very expensive restaurant for what you eat (40 € per person without dessert because they decided not charged). The service left much to be desired, with not so credible excuses that led us to feel that it was a negative experience when the environment and the quality of some dishes could have made us think otherwise.
What seems rather good idea is to have a drink at the bar which is next to the garden that is the La Cabrera.
