A mais famosa casa de pipocas de Chicago é uma tentação, abriu a sua primeira loja em 1949 dentro da zona do Loop na Madison Avenue e foi noutra ali perto junto aos teatros que provei as Caramel crisp. Acho sempre extraordinário como consegue sobreviver ao tempo um lugar que vende pipocas de fabrico artesanal e com receitas gourmet, dizem que tem um segredo que continua sem sair da familia Garrett.

I always find extraordinary how can a place like this survive time by selling handmade popcorn and gourmet recipes, they say that it has a secret that continues without leaving the Garrett family.
Um dos seus grandes éxitos é o Garrett Mix que combina as Caramel Crisps com outras pipocas com sabor a queijo sim...leram bem, sabor a queijo. Até sou de experimentar coisas novas mas não fui tão longe, fiquei uma grande fã das de caramelo mas gostava de experimentar um dia as cobertas com chocolate. Tem outras com frutos secos como cajus e nozes.
Um saco pequeno custa menos de cinco dólares e quando comprei ia sozinha por isso tive pipocas para vários dias, também achei giras as caixas metálicas para as guardar mas já não tinha mais espaço na mala para trazer algo assim, uma pena.

I do like to try new things but I couldn't go that far, I was a big fan of the caramel one but I would like to try one day the ones covered with chocolate. They have others with dried fruit and nuts like cashews.
A small bag costs less than five dollars and when I bought one I was alone so I had popcorn for several days, I found really nice the metal boxes to store them but had no more room in the suitcase to bring some, such a shame.
