Today we discovered the Flash Flash in Madrid. This restaurant is very "mod" with an inspiration from the 60's/70's, it used to be more in vogue nowadays. Maybe I prefer it like this, without the stress of waiting hours to have table, or not to hear the people who I'm dining with, etc..
But what I liked in Flash Flash was the friendliness of the employees (sometimes a rarity in many restaurants) and also the "tortillas", the house specialty and they are not your simple "jamón y queso", these are better especially if they are combined with a salad that was delicious. The desserts are also good and the bill was not as painful as often in restaurants of Madrid (except if you ask for the expensive meat).
I recommend Tortilla with almonds and peas or Panadera... both a delight and also the salad prepared by them,we chose the number 1 and it was also fantastic, especially the seasoning. Oh ... and always ask for bread with tomato, you will not regret it.
The burgers are good and we tried the meat as "solomillo" and "entrecot" they were good but we felt that the bill was to heavy. It's cheaper to eat tortillas.
Great to go with kids.
