After a morning visiting the Vatican and Castel Sant 'Angelo, we needed "fuel" and wanted something specific ... Pizza! Since we arrived in Rome we had not eaten one so it was only fair to require it for lunch.
Walked through the neighborhood of Ponte and Parioni in order to get to the street of the Governo Vecchio where they say there are lots of great quality pizzas but when we got there (and we had already seen this Taverna Parione) decided to go back to Via Parione and eat in the first pizzeria that we had seen.

Also we liked the terrace, the street is quieter therefore we can sit and enjoy the peaceful environment to talk about how we love to know Rome and make plans for the afternoon.
To start we ordered a salad of tomato and mozzarella, something fresh. It came seasoned with a excelent olive oil.
Yes it had the typical pizzeria towel with red plaid but something made us look at the restaurant and believe that it wouldn't be a trap. In our experience it was not. I can not say it was the best pizza ever eaten and neither live in Rome to say which is the best, anyway it did not disappoint.

After came the pizzas, made of a thin and crispy dough that starts just to give them a positive score, mine was the Four Cheese and it was delicious. They were of a generous size, I could not finish mine and that was why we didn't ordered dessert.
May not be the best in town, but if you decide to eat here also you won't leave with the impression that you were deceived. Very good price / quality ratio.
