Bem sabemos que com tantos restaurantes excelentes em Biarritz comer numa pizzaria é quase criminoso. Sabemos. Mas depois de uma larga viagem por França de repente deu-nos aquela saudade de comer uma pizza. Devemos ter algo de italiano no nosso ADN.
Passeávamos pela elegante Avenida Eduardo VII, por cima da linha do mar e onde estão algumas lojas de roupa que albergam marcas de luxo quando nos bateu a fome. Dentro de umas arcadas vimos Pizzeria e já nem conseguimos sentir o cheiro de qualquer outro restaurante.
We know that with so many excellent restaurants in Biarritz eating in a pizzeria is almost criminal. We know. But after a long journey through France suddenly made us want to eat pizza. We should have something Italian in our DNA.
Navigated by the elegant Avenue Edward VII, above the line of the sea and where some clothing stores that house luxury brands are when we realised we were starving. Within an arcade we saw a Pizzeria and we couldn't smell any other restaurant.

A decoração ao principio assustava um pouco, muitas vezes quando vemos um restaurante "trattoria" que leva a decoração italiana demasiado á letra ficamos a pensar que pode ser uma ratoeira. Mas ao entrar vemos o balcão onde fazem as pizzas e as manobras acrobáticas que o cozinheiro estava a fazer com a massa para saber que pelo menos frescas são.
Pedir é sempre fácil, como o conceito é universal em dois minutos escolhemos o que queríamos. Os preços estão dentro da linha Biarritz, em média uma pizza custava uns 12€-13€.
Comi a calzone e temo que a fotografia não lhe faça justiça...era enorme!!Além de vir generosamente recheada tinha um molho de tomate que fazia toda a diferença. Faz lembrar o anúncio da massa ou do molho, pois aí está o segredo de uma grande pizza uma excelente massa e um molho de tomate que é tão bom que nos faz acreditar que foi feito por deuses.
O atendimento era simpático e se falamos espanhol entendem-nos perfeitamente. Não nos arrependemos.

But when we get to the counter where they make pizzas and the acrobatic maneuvers that the cook was doing with the dough we know that at least they are fresh.
Ordering is always easy, as the concept is universal in two minutes we chose what we wanted. The prices are in line with Biarritz, on average a pizza costing about 12 € -13 €.
I had a calzone and I fear that the photograph does not do it justice ... it was huge!! Besides coming generously stuffed with a tomato sauce that made all the difference. Reminds me of the TV ad about pasta or sauce, for therein lies the secret of great pizza dough and a great tomato sauce that is so good it makes us believe that it was made by gods.
The service was friendly and if you speak Spanish they understand perfectly. No regrets.
