On our first day in Florence we had dinner at Brown Sugar. It was those impulse decisions that we had sworn not to take after we have had a bad experience, but it happened after two of restaurant recommendations that didn't work out: the first was closed and the second was in the works. In this area there was this one that said it had fresh pasta and we decided to try.
Eu escolhi o Gnocchi al Pesto Genovese e o marido o Tagliatelle al Ragu Bolognese.
There wasn't the atmosphere of a typical Florentine restaurant but the name also indicates that you should not have it when they bring us the menu like a menu the day it started to scare us: an A4 sheet with some food and drink. We decided to give the benefit of the doubt because the first reaction was to flee.
I chose the Gnocchi al Pesto Genovese and my husband the Tagliatelle al Ragu Bolognese. We were so hungry that the hardness of the bruschetta bread didn't made us quit, then came the mains and it confirmed that the pasta was fresh. We liked the food it was good but not extraordinary, as we paid € 9.8 for each of the menu turned out to be a good experience yet with so much on offer in Florence do not know if would repeat it.
