The terraces, or "azoteas" or "roof tops" are all the rage this summer in Madrid, I would say the big star is the Círculo de Bellas Artes that already existed and was open to the public but with the opening of a restaurant and bar made it to the place where everyone wants to be mainly in the evening to watch the sun saying goodbye to the city.

I bet that whoever sits in the grass or in the sun beds with their Gin Tonic in hand feels like Carrie Bradshaw, unfortunately I could not feel the same I could only enjoy the fantastic view it offers because there was not one square meter free to sit but that's what you get for going on a Saturday night.
Getting table at Tartan Roof also seems impossible and this time we didn't even tried we went just to enjoy the city from above, see Cibelles Square, Gran Vía and at the distance the four towers of Las Tablas.
The original Tartan (see post here) closed its doors earlier this year and appeared on this rooftop in a pop-up format that would be only for this summer but I've heard rumors that it may be extended until autumn, if it's true maybe I will be able to taste the food and our hope is to find the "burrata" we ate at their restaurant in the neighborhood of Salamanca.
To go up we had to pay an entrance fee: 3€. We went before the sunset and it was a good idea, when we went down was already a huge line to enter.
