The Museum ticket also gives access to the House and the Park which was my favorite part of the whole complex Serralves Foundation. Because it is the junction of the Count of Vizela's properties that were acquired at different times, the park ended up having distinct areas some of the nineteenth century and others were built at the same time as the house.
It is perhaps one of the most romantic places in the city, a great plan for the weekend but preferably in days with more sun tan the one we had when we visited.
The first we encounter is a sculpture by Claes Oldenburg representing a trowel, then we entered an area of abundant trees where they placed an exhibition on the construction of the house and of the park we are visiting. At its end we can see the Casa de Serralves with a carefully cared parterre in front, there is a another side of the house but this is undoubtedly the most beautiful with its fountains and aligned shrubs.
After visiting the house we went through an area that looked like the garage and more ahead the kennel. We walked in a bamboo trees área and then we arrived at Lake where we see royal ducks and black swans, it was the first time I was so close to one.
We finished the visit driking tea nearby the Tennis Court sheltering us from the rain.
