Em cada segundo fim de semana do mês, o recatado Museu do Ferrocarril em Delicias (perto da Atocha) torna-se num dos sitios mais concorridos da cidade graças a este Mercado. Está divido em três grandes áreas, uma é no interior do museu onde a nossa atenção se divide entre as locomotivas históricas e as a pequenas bancas onde se podía comprar desde produtos gourmet, a bicicletas, peças de arte, bijuteria, roupa, objectos de decoração e uma boa dose de ideias originais á espera de serem descobertos.
Every second weekend of the month, the demured Ferrocarril Museum in Delicias (near Atocha) becomes one of the busiest places of the city thanks to this market. It's divided into three main areas, one is inside the museum where our attention is divided between the historic locomotives and the small stalls where you could buy everything from gourmet food to bicycles, pieces of art, jewelry, clothing, decorative objects and a good deal of original ideas waiting to be discovered.

Aqui o empreendorismo e a criatividade são as palavras de ordem, também a reciclagem e o reaproveitamento de peças antigas que fazem com que regressem ao nosso quotidiano. Gostei muito da Showroom que tinha umas bicicletas que quase me fazem perder a cabeça mas consegui mantê-la no seu lugar, por enquanto.
Here entrepreneurship and creativity are the key words, also recycling and reusing old pieces that return to our daily lives. I enjoyed the Showroom stand they had some bikes that almost made me lose my head but I managed to keep it in place, for now.

A segunda área, está no exterior junto a mais vagões com um pequeño palco de música ao vivo, mesas, cadeiras, espreguiçadeira e umas bancas que vendem comida que vai desde hamburguers, hot dogs ou até uma gigantesca paella. Ali podemos relaxar enquanto bebemos um Mojito por exemplo. Eu há muito que não bebia um e saí bastante contente com o que tomei, levam o seu tempo e técnica a fazer mas valem a pena a espera.
The second area is outside by more wagons with a small stage for live music, tables, chairs, deck chairs and a few stalls selling food ranging from hamburgers, hot dogs or even a giant paella. Here you can relax while drinking a Mojito for example. It as been while since I had one and I left very happy with what they made, it takes time and technique to make one but is worth the wait.

A terceira e última área é um espaço mais ao estilo flea market ou Rastro, com roupa em segunda-mão, loiça, brinquedos, discos em vynil etc.. Esta é a zona para encontrar preciosidades ou matar saudades de objectos que fizeram parte da nossa infancia e que pareciam esquecidos num sotão mas que aqui voltam a ver a luz do dia.
Tudo com muito bom ambiente e principalmente com uma mensagem muito positiva: há espaço para promover os pequenos empreendedores. Não sei quais os resultados de um evento como este mas para que se repita este ano é porque devem ser bons.
Foi uma tarde bem passada, com algumas compras para ajudar a recuperar a economia!

All with very good atmosphere and especially with a very positive message: there is room to promote small entrepreneurs. I do not know what the results of an event like this are but if they are repeating it this year is because they must be good.
It was a fantastic afternoon with some purchases to help revive the economy!
