A principal atracção desta praça é a Igreja de Sainte Eugenie, construída em honra da santa patrona da Imperatriz Eugenie, a mulher de Napoleão III. De estilo neo-gótico foi construída no século XIX.
A Eugenie de Montijo (nasceu em Espanha) passava muitos verões em Biarritz e ficava instalada "Villa Eugenie" que hoje em dia dá lugar ao famoso Hotel du Palais.

No meio da praça está também um pequeno coreto e de ambos os lados, vários restaurantes com esplanadas convidam a provar a gastronomia da zona, onde o peixe e o marisco fazem parte da maior parte dos menus.
De noite a praça ganha mais ambiente mas tendo ido em época não balnear estava um pouco vazia, imaginamos que no verão tenha mais animação. Quem quer jantar tranquilamente, ouvindo o som do mar não se arrependerá de aqui estar.
Saindo da praça em direcção ao mar temos uma excelente vista para a Praia Grande, vemos o Hotel du Palais e a rocha Le Basta.
