The Oliva Verde had everything to be a tourist trap starting with its location: in front of the Clock and near the Old Town Square one of the parts of the city with more people, but it became a pleasant surprise and it wasn't that I lowered my expectation, we really liked eating there knowing that it was not a traditional czech food restaurant.
The challenge was to find a place to eat ace three in the afternoon, so we thought but rather in the bustling square you always find a place with a kitchen open all the time. The menu is Italian, the beer was local and we all had the famous Pilsner.
To start we ordered a goat cheese crostini with fig mustard and arugula, we were so hungry that we think it was only the bread we would still find it delicious, but it was really a good option.
After they all asked the gnocchi with truffle sauce and parmesan, which I'm a big fan but I decided to order something else, a risotto with cuttlefish (and its ink) and octopus. I can say that I made a great choice, if I can complain about something it was a bit salty. The risotto was cooked perfectly and was a good combination, it is clear that before working I had to run to the bathroom of the hotel to wash my teeth because they were black.
All of this with a view to the Orloj and with the price of 20€ per person (without dessert).
